Sims 4 custom content

Hello!
Some of my custom content is not loading. I unzipped the package files and placed them in the mods folder in the Sims 4 file; and while a prompt screen confirms that the custom content was recognized, it is not available in CAS mode. A couple of my mods are recognized and are present during game play; but my biggest issue is that I can't find the custom content in CAS mode.

Are they under their own thumbnail, or are they just new swatches added to an existing piece of clothing?
They're quite easy to miss if it's the latter.

Your right, it can be difficult to find cc in cas. The best you can do is to read carefully the description on the site from where you downloaded the item, maybe ask the creator how to find the cc. Disable filters in cas. Is the cc only for teens or only adults, is the cc a recolor, retexture or stand-alone.
All creators of custom content should be aware of this and clearly mark the thumbnail or show on the site how to find the cc in cas, most do. Sometimes my cc don't show, then I change sims and back or fiddle around, the suddenly the cc shows, strange.
Just to be sure: You do not unzip the package files, you place the package files in the mods folder, right? So, the cc's in the mods folder ends with .package? Some cc should not be unzipped I read, but don't know why. It's scripted files and sims I guess.

If there are subfolders in your Mods folder, the items in them may not show up. You have to edit the resource.cfg file in a text editor to add more...I wanted to attach my own for you, but all you do is add some further paths to what is there Like this :
