missing items?

So I've been playing Sims 4 all day and I downloaded the movie stuff pack. a couple of hours later, I saved and quit the game for an hour or two. when I re-opened Origin, it said that it was installing an update for Sims 4. I let it install, cleared the action, and opened the game. When the game opened, it said "pack download in progress" so i did ctrl+1 to see what was installing, and it said the "sims 4 digital deluxe download" (or whatever its called) was installing an update - but it said it was completed. when I go to play my household, I noticed that some sims were bald or topless and many household objects were gone. all of my items fro Get To Work (which I've had for a couple months now) are gone. Please help.
