Is there any <real> reason to get a job?

    i mean sure, initially through the route I just took it takes a tad longer to make any real money, but its been much more profitable for me.. The route I took with my character:
    Traits:
    Creative
    Ambitious
    Business Savy and
    Romantic

    Aspirations:
    Fabulously Wealthy.

    Job:
    Nil; Artist.

    I just got the game so there may be better ways to make money but after getting to level 10 and popping and a 1.2k avg profit on non-masterwork paintings (which take a few hours, in sim time) and about 4.9k per day I am wondering if any other job even compares? Should I consider getting one or am I fine?
