Heads up - Anyone can upload Sims 4 Custom Content now! And here's how!

** We now accept .package files along with .zips and the other typical formats **

Hey everyone, if you didn't know already we have a Sims 4 Custom Content hub here on the site where ANYONE can upload and share all your favorite custom content you use or find!

It's real easy! Here is how!

1. Head over to the custom-content page by clicking that green custom content link on the menu.


2. You're now on our custom-content portal. Soon to be the best place to find AND share custom content you've found or made!


3. You can browse the categories to find custom content, sort/filter them OR you can add custom content! To add custom content, just click that button at the top right that says "Add Resource"


4. Now you choose a category you want to upload to. We've just recently added the bundled custom content for CC that falls into more than one category and includes several items.


5. Now you've selected your category you'll reach the main page where you'll share your content.

• Prefix & Name of Content - Firstly you'll be able to choose a prefix (basically a little tag that'll show next to the name) you don't have to choose one, but it makes your CC easier to find! You can also name your content just under.
• Tagline - You must add a tagline, the tagline is just a little rough description of the content your uploading. Try to keep this smple, as you can go into detail in the description box below.
  
  
• Resource type - Here you can choose whether to upload the file whether its a .package file or a zip including files to the site (to save dead links in the future, the file will always be safe and secure on our site) OR provide a link to where you can download it elsewhere (if you've uploaded it to dropbox or elsewhere) PLUS if the custom content is for sale somewhere else, you can also choose to include a price and link to where you can find it.
  
  
  
• Description - This is are where you'll be able to add images, descriptions and tutorials on how to use the custom content you've uploaded. To upload images to add in-post just click the upload a file button at the bottom of the page, then choose to add it to the post as a thumbnail or full size image (as you'd do if you were uploading images elsewhere on the forum) OR you can just add an image thats hosted elsewhere by using the button in the editor.
  
  
  
  
• Additional Information + Resource Icon - Here you can paste a link if the custom content has a support page/thread whether it's here on the forum or elsewhere. You can tick the resource icon checkbox which after you click save to submit the content, will bring up a box allowing you to upload an image that will serve as your Custom Content Resource Icon that will show next to the content you uploaded. It can be any size, I just upload an image of the custom content i used in the description and it scales it perfectly.
  
  
  
• Once you are done, just click Save at the bottom, and then when it asks you to, upload an image of the custom content for the icon.
