Game freeze upon launch

    Hi there, upon launching the game it freezes and hangs with a black screen resulting in me having to close it with task manager.
    This is as far as I've gotten, haven't made it to the main menu or anything.

    I've tried reinstalling via Origin and same result.

    Windows 8.1
    Nvidia GTX 580

    I am not sure and have no real idea, lol sorry. My one thought is to open origin, right click the game and click "repair game". I honestly don't know if that will help at all, but it's the only thing I could think of. I do hope you get to play soon!

    Some things to try:
    - make sure you're installed on the C: drive, not another drive
    - remove everything from the Tray file and launch (the Tray file holds your Library items; it seems that for some people, something corrupted is stopping game launch)
