Failed to Launch The Sims 4, Freezes and Forcing Computer to Restart

    If your computer freezes and you are forced to restart whenever you launch The Sims 4, you should try running the game in Windowed Mode.

    Reducing other graphics options and turning VSync on might also help. But keep in mind that a forced restart can be a sign of other problems, such as a heat sink that needs reattaching, a failing power supply, or a failing motherboard. If you don't run other graphics-intensive programs, it could be Sims that "diagnoses" this for you at first.
