Do you guys prefer rabbitholes?

For some places like the Restaurants, Grocery, Bookstore, etc; Maybe not as much but for my sims job I am fine with just dumping them off and focusing on someone else for those hours, I don't want to worry about my sim doing well in his career and focusing on the rest of the family. Maybe not as much rabbitholes but I prefer a few. What are your suggestions? :3

Sorry, but I detest ALL rabbit holes! When the game is almost all rabbit holes, it's difficult to just focus on another Sim and watch the pavement from there.

In my opinion; people seem to want rabbit holes to make things easy on themselves, but really, they're just making the game play boring.

Yeah! They could at least add restaurants, bistros and schools.

I hate the very rabithole concept! i wish that we had 0% of rabitholes in game, i do rather have a closed world only with open venues than an open world full of rabitholes. Hiding the basic places such as restaurant and grocery stores we had in TS2 is lazy design , and duing it for school and work is stupid because the game says "Play with life", and the game hides a big part of life behind a black wall.

I like some rabbitholes, but I think it'd be a good idea to take some of them away- Like with restaurants and grocery stores, I'd love to see my Sims on their lunch dates and pushing around a shopping cart. But taking them all away would make things very hectic- it would probably increase lag a lot. And anyway, who wants to watch their Sims sit in a cubicle or at a desk all day (if that's their job, that is)?

Who wants to watch, their sim disapear under a black wall and just receive messages of what is going on (when nothing is going on)? There are infinite possiblities to include intersting gameplay even in the most meaningless job such as cubicles and if it is porpelly designed, you would not have to pay a mandatory atention to it.

"Watch your sim at a desk all day" is plain thinking little.

Personal preference I suppose. To me, watching them in a cubicle is much more thrilling than watching concrete.

If i could trust my sims not to pass out or die while i'm away i can do without rabbitholes.
I'm pretty easy going so either way rabbitholes or not. Fine by me

Yes! If my sim could automatically do his job without starving to death, then there would be no worries! xD What are your ideas for jobs then guys? :3 What would you like to see you sims doing?

I'm playing the Sims 2 right now. I'm going to buy the diner to run as a business. I have said this many times before, I miss running my own businesses in TS3! I really hope they find a way to bring back OFB in some form, for TS4. I like interaction, and being useful. It's not fun to me just spectating, I watch YouTube for that.

That would be fun! I hope they have something like OFB too! That was probably my favorite expansion for TS2. xP

I'm not sure what i want i never really played open for business, but i do like the idea of owning one.
The store version for TS3 was kinda lame :s

I am also iffy on rabbitholes. I think they are nice when you have multiple sims, since it gives you time to focus more on them. But I liked the concept of OFB definitely in TS2. Like I've said in a comment before with the Sims becoming more realistic in the new design I think in turn we should have more jobs like we do. Such as real estate or a position with the government (like judge or lawyer). I also liked the options of jobs in TS3 Ambitions. The workers have the right idea, i'm just stoked to see what they come up with!!
