Character loading bug

Ever since I started playing Sims 4 the other day (installed the base game, get to work and the christmas stuff pack from origin) I get this weird bug when I load the game. No matter what my sims were doing when I saved previously, their mood is fine and they often spawn outside the house. If I previously saved and left the game when they were sleeping, they'd load standing next to their bed, again with the fine mood.
The same thing happens when I do something away from the house, such as go to work with one of the characters, when I return the mood is fine and they're usually standing outside the house.
Is there anything that can be done about this bug? Thanks

Hmmmm have you tried a REPAIR GAME in Origin yet? Do that and see if anything changes.

Do you have mods or CC installed?

My sims will almost always be awake, standing by their bed when I load a save (as I always save my game to quit, once all the sims are in bed asleep at the end of the day) but when I resume playing they go back to bad and everything is back to normal.
