The Sims 4 - My Opinion.

Alright guys, so I'd just like to share my thoughts about TS4. Besides, I haven't made a new thread in forever!

My positive thoughts -

- Loading screens = will give us fuller lots! more life, more energy, more sims! and we only need to wait a few seconds!
- the town = it looks so beautiful! kinda reminds me of disney in a way.. not sure how, but it's so pretty! in TS3 there was hardly anything, it didn't look great, in TS4, it does! even though you may not be able to visit those places (the skyscrapers, buildings in the distance etc) I think it makes the game look a lot more beautiful. Also, I noticed during a video of people building a house, there was lots of cars going past in the distance, rather than in TS3, where you'd just see one go past occasionally. It made the town seem empty, but now, you constantly see busy streets, and lots more sims passing by, it's awesome.
- More skills! And new ones! - I personally love the new skills, and I love how we have some in the base game of ts4 that we needed to wait for an expansion pack to have in ts3.
- CAS - I love how you can really go far into customising your sims looks now, being able to change the sims better than ever before!
- sims now have 10 body manipulation points, 10 facial manipulation points, and if you go into the detail mode, there is another 16 things you can change! I also feel like they have made the hairstyles in the base game a lot better too, I like a lot more than I did in ts3. Even on the men's side too. And the clothes look a lot more stylish. Even though you can't fully customise the colours of clothes/hair anymore.. I still think it looks good.
- Build mode - do I really need to say much about this? I mean, come on.. everything about build mode is so easy now, and it makes building houses a breeze, even for beginners! and the furniture looks much more modern, ahh, I love it!
- Multitasking - Thank gosh for this! I've been waiting so long for this!

(I could write more but I'm gonna end it at this so I don't go on forever!)

Negative thoughts -

Honestly, I uh.. don't think I actually have any. I'm in love with this game.

Hey Justine, I like your post! I love reading positive stuff about ts4, cuz almost everything you find about ts4 is negative now. Have you read Honeywell's blog? Gosh, she makes me hesitate about the quality of the game and stuff. But than I read some positive stuff and I'm like HECK YEAH! I hope they release some awesome EPs and SPs. And I love how your sims can already look so beautiful, just with a DEMO. Without CC, without the full game. I mean, Sims 3 looked like shit without CC and stuff.
Okay my post is so random hehe .

I am waiting to play before I give my final thoughts on it as that is the biggest test for me, but I have high hope for it and thinks that is has a lot of potential. The base game seemed packed to me, which is a very nice start. I can't say that base game or even Sims 4 will be perfect, but I do think it be a lot of fun like Sims 2 was.

So far I love the new CAS, I used that a lot more with just the demo than the ones with Sims 2 or Sim 3 (especially 3, I had no patience and didn't like a lot of the hair and clothing. A lot was cc). It is really nice. And the randomization is great, they don't end up looking weird. You can even randomize names now!

I can go on and on again. Though needs more hairstyles and all that, especially for men, there is a lot more diversity. I love how you can wear rings and bracelets with gloves, how boots work properly with pants now and how hats are separate. This can really help improve on a lot of cc I want to learn to make for a few of my sims.

Thanks! And I know, so many people are hating on TS4 ._. And I have a few times, but it's not something I check daily. I'm sure they will focus a lot more on EP's and SP's, especially SP's, in TS3 I only bought 2, the others were just so crap, and useless. I hope they bring out roughly the same EP's, but change it up a little and add better stuff for some of them. But I think I'll make a new thread soon talking about EP's, because I've got quite a bit to say.

And yep! sims can now look beautiful in CAS, which means less downloading of CC, and less lag in gameplay (for me anyway, lagged so much!) the only thing I download is a few clothes/shoes and hairstyles. But now in ts4 they've thought it through better, and everything in the CAS menu looks so much better! they've really caught up with the fashion styles. I really do prefer the way you view the items too, better than ts3, and you are right, people usually rushed through making sims in ts3 because the process was too long and just.. ugh. Now, people will probably enjoy it more. I'm really excited!

I have to agree with you. About that CAS thing..
I really never enjoyed TS3 CAS. Lets say I was not happy. All sims I ever made and played with had a lot CC used. Stuff like skin and some details. And clothes ofcourse. There was very few clothes that I liked even from store content. I even realize now that my sims used to look kinda similar. I am no pro with sliders and I really wasnt patient I think.
With new CAs for TS4 I already created like 20 of sims and I have to say none of them look the same :3
Its amazing. Cant wait to get full game. I also hope there is more hair styles for guys.
I think it will be really easy to play this game without tons of cc. Maybe only some stuff like hair colors etc... ut thats it

Same here! My sims ALWAYS looked alike, and you could always tell when a lot of the ones I made mixed in with premade sims in a public lot, you could easily tell which ones were already made and which ones were made by me. The store content stuff in ts3 I hated, never bought anything. I've created a few sims on ts4 and none of them look alike, but they do look fabulous, that's for sure!
